This initiative will leverage cutting-edge Direct Air Capture technology, advanced carbon storage solutions, and efficient CO2 shipping methods to significantly reduce the local and Mediteranean's carbon footprint and promote sustainable development.

Direct Air Capture and Storage (DACS)

RepAir, a leader in Direct Air Capture (DAC) technology, and EnEarth, have partnered to implement RepAir’s Direct Air Capture (DAC) technology for carbon capture and storage in the Prinos depleted field in Kavala, Greece. This collaboration aims to start capturing and storing CO2 by 2026, through the utilization of Prinos' existing infrastructure and RepAir’s efficient, scalable DAC system to support regional decarbonization and establish Northern Greece as a major green hub in the Mediterranean.

CO2 Shipping

EnEarth has partnered with Prime Marine to facilitate the transportation of CO2 as part of its comprehensive carbon storage initiatives. This collaboration leverages Prime Marine’s extensive shipping capabilities to efficiently transport captured CO2 from various emission sources in the Mediterranean region to the Prinos saline aquifer in Kavala, Greece. This partnership is essential for ensuring the seamless transfer and safe, permanent storage of CO2, reinforcing EnEarth’s mission to establish Northern Greece as a leading green and decarbonization hub in the Mediterranean.
